Angela Ritter, MD

Our research staff is led by Angela Ritter, MD. Dr. Ritter received a Biology degree from the University of West Georgia and earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. Her residency was at Palmetto Health, University of South Carolina. She is Board certified in Family Medicine and was in practice with Northeast Georgia Physicians Group for 23 years. Since 2018 she has been with CARE as a Sub-Investigator and Principal Investigator.

Dr Ritter is glad to be a part of research, stating, "I wanted to see a different side of medicine and be a part of something bigger." In research she has worked with osteoporosis, diabetes, weight loss, high cholesterol, Alzheimer's disease, NASH, and more recently COVID-19.

CARE staff have decades of clinical trial experience.  Staff have worked with trial participants in the following areas:  Alzheimer's disease, Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Hyperlipidemia, Hypertriglyceridemia, Cardiovascular disease, Osteoarthritis, Obesity, Asthma, Sarcopenia, Diabetic foot ulcers, Hip Fractures, NASH, mild to severe COVID-19, COVID-19 Long-haulers.
